Flat Pattern

Flat Pattern was a foundational course where I learned how to draft, manipulate, and perfect garment patterns using industry-standard techniques. I developed skills in creating accurate slopers, adding style lines, and transforming basic blocks into finished designs.

Surface Design

In my Surface Design class, I created a culturally inspired coat using pattern-making techniques and explored new materials for the first time, including working with wool and experimenting with various dyeing methods. I also learned how to operate the embroidery machine, allowing me to incorporate meaningful motifs that reflected my Mexican heritage into the final garment.
